Testosterone treatment through Hims includes controlled substance medications, which are regulated under federal law. Before you can complete checkout, we're required to verify your identity.
To do this, you'll need to upload a clear photo of a valid, unexpired driver's license.
Unfortunately, we're not able to accept a passport, state ID, or military ID for this step — a driver's license is the only form of ID we accept for controlled substance treatment.
If verification doesn't go through on the first try, you can resubmit a clearer photo of your physical license. Common reasons verification doesn't pass the first time include
- A blurry photo
- An expired driver’s license
- A selfie that doesn't clearly match your ID
- A name/date of birth that doesn't match your account.
If your license has expired since you last renewed your prescription, you'll need to upload a new one before your next prescription can be processed.
