Ondansetron Orally Disintegrating Tablet

- Active Ingredients and Common Side Effects
- Ondansetron: is an anti-nausea medication, specifically an antiemetic (5HT3 blocker), that prevents nausea and vomiting.
- Common side effects include: constipation or diarrhea; headache; feeling tired, weak, or sleepy; dizziness
- Directions for Use
Refer to your prescription label for your prescriber’s directions and recommended dose and frequency.
- Orally Disintegrating tablet: Do not remove medication from blisters until needed. Open right before use with clean, dry hands. Place the tablet on top of the tongue and allow it to dissolve. Water is not needed. Do not swallow it whole. Do not chew, break, or crush it.
- Storage
- Store your medication at room temperature between 68°F to 77°F (20°C to 25°C) in the packaging provided by the pharmacy until you need it. Keep out of reach of children.
- Under certain circumstances a prescription drug’s effectiveness may be affected by exposure to extremes of heat, cold, or humidity.
- Precautions and Contraindications
- Do not take this medication if you are allergic to any of its components.
- Avoid use if you have fast or abnormal heartbeat (prolonged QT syndrome).
- If you experience fast or abnormal heartbeat while taking this medication, call your doctor right away and avoid any further use.
- This product may contain Phenylalanine. Talk to your doctor before using if you have phenylketonuria (PKU).
- Disposal of Medications
- Do not flush unused medication down the toilet or pour in the sink or drain. Dispose according to local regulations.
