A “sample error” means the lab couldn’t process your blood sample for one or more tests. It’s a technical hiccup—like the sample being too small, clotted, or a lab processing error. This doesn’t happen often (less than 1% of draws), but it can occur. If a sample error happens, we’ll need you to have another blood draw so we can get your results. We understand that’s inconvenient and we apologize. The re-draw is always done at no cost to you.
